The first is a biography of the GhadÄmisÄ« scholar Ê¿AbdallÄh b. AbÄ« Bakr al-GhadÄmisÄ« (1626â1719 AD), written by the eighteenth-century author Ibn Muhalhil al-GhadÄmisÄ«. A second text is âThe History of al-SÅ«qâ, concerning al-SÅ«q, the historic town of TÄdmakka and the original home of the Kel-Essouk Tuareg. The third text is âThe Precious Jewel in the Saharan histories of the âPeople of the Veil'â by Muḥammad Tawjaw al-SÅ«qÄ« al-ThÄnÄ«, a contemporary Tuareg author. It pertains to the Kel-Essouk and their historical ties with the Maghreb and West Africa.
